Dirt Cheap & Scrumptious: Recipe #1

I just picked up most of my groceries at Trader Joe’s and I am of course living on the college diet of really cheap food. You can get a great, as well as healthy, bang for your buck at Trader Joe’s.

Anywho, I concocted this sort of Phó with just a few ingredients and it was awesome! With all these ingredients, you can make at least 4 batches of this meal before you run out of ingredients.

2 packs of Ramen noodles

1 packet of Ramen beef stock powder

4-6 Green Onions, diced

1/8 cup Trader Joe’s Sun Dried Tomatoes

1/4 cup Baby Portabella Mushrooms, diced

Pour enough water in a pot to submerge 2 cubes of Ramen and bring it to a boil. Add Ramen noodles, followed by Ramen beef stock powder. As noodles start to become soft, add Green Onions, Sun Dried Tomatoes, and Baby Portabella Mushrooms. Cook for just a couple minutes, drain about half of the broth, and enjoy.

This serves as a decent meal just for myself, but I would say it could serve 1-2 people. I plan on adding thinly sliced lean beef in the future. I may also get fancy and do a seafood Phó with crab one day, as well. Either way, this is an extremely satisfying, QUICK, inexpensive, and wonderful bulk meal. Great for the College lifestyle!

7/10/11: I added thinly sliced Filet Mignon (from Kroger while it was on sale) to the mixture while the noodles boiled and it was incredible! It’s much more satisfying with the beef, in my own opinion, seeing as I haven’t really traversed the vegetarian lifestyle.

A True Artist: Tyler the Creator of the OFWGKTA

I have always admired people who speak the truth and do it in such a straight forward manner, but this is the first human being I have admired that is younger than I. Yet, not that age FUCKING matters.

This kid really has an understanding for what it means to appreciate being independent. Yes, I think its great that I was able to post this on July 4th and yes, Tyler deserves this kind of attention. He stands as a icon for the bridge of Punk ideology into the Hip Hop community.

As made reference to by the Creator himself, some people say he is selling out by getting big and showing up on TV. However, is it selling out when you purposefully make that decision to go about and be known. Many people want glory, but most people aren’t honest with themselves on how they get to that level. Tyler, on the other hand, is.

Tyler the Creator, I fist bump, nod my head, but not quite kneel, to you.

New stuffs with a pretty light up keys!

So, here it is ladies and gents. I have my new Macbook Pro! Yes I am aware that Lion OS comes out next month, but I have been with Apple for over 6 years now and they haven’t let me down.

They’re software continues to impress me. The OS gets more entertaining every time they come out with a new one. I love the Welcome intro when the computer is powered on implementing “welcome” in foreign languages. Mac really is taking a step further than everyone else in the tech world.

The layout of the software is great. I love the Spaces application. Yes, I know it’s not brand new, but the last computer I had was a Powerbook G4. Yep. Old schoolin’ it. Still got it, never gonna leave it. When you can run several different programs without them affecting each other’s speed and performance, it’s as if you are within stepping distance of several separate dimensions, almost as if you’re time traveling.

I have my iTunes account set up and have been blasting my ditties for the the past hour. Mmmm, the combo of Dre intstrumentals and Electric Six is hott. No argument there (really, there’s no argument at all, so don’t bother).

I now have a built-in camera and Photo Booth to not only mainstream and do what everyone does with distorting the way their face looks, but I can now FaceTime/Skype, so hit me up when I am online. Don’t be shy, you know can’t resist my charming lookz.

Ok, I’ll stop here. I will brag more when I do/create/perform more with this modern day Mjölnir, except I can’t actually control lightning… or can I?

Question to anyone who may have an answer:

Is it all and well to have given myself an ego boost for knowing/assuming that I have been the cause or at least taken part in bringing people together in a local pub. They are, and have been all night, laughing and enjoying themselves.

I feel by purposely introducing someone, who is associated with a tight nit group, to open mic night has, not only brought business to a local venue, but has also increased benevolence in said group of people.

This blew my mind. I would consider breaking a bone just to have it fixed with bolts infused with ibuprofen. Maybe after that I’ll go get an LED tattoo that will say, “I think I’m American?”

It’s amazing to see how far we have come so fast in so short a time. Our technology has evolved with a snowball effect. This type of advancement will have us living on Mars in suits modified with re-breathers and personal waste dispensers.

How is it that we skip the step between having trouble with finding ways to insert metal rods into the human skeletal system to fabricating full bones/parts of bones and being able to release desired compounds to treat the damage/pain at the same time? That’s just the good old fashioned killing of two stones with one bird.

It is ideas like this that open gateways to incredible paths in human advancement and evolution. I’m close to getting goose bumps just wondering what will come next. Maybe an addition to the six color spectrum? Hmm…

So close to Atlanta!

Packing in St. Augustine, leaving soon for the great VA to catch up with the guys, then off to… Oh! Wait for it!

HOTlanta! Oh! Oh shit! I said it! Ha!

I fucking love Contemporary Poetry!

Both of these are kick ass poems that I have listened to over and over to better contemplate the lack of creative thought with the use of voice.

Being wrong is to be accepted

Of course everybody knows that throughout our lifetime during grade school, or practicing the completion of difficult endeavors, we have always been shunned for being wrong, “messing up,” or even failing. That has almost always been a trait throughout our society and our lives. We take this aspect of life with us as we grow old and it helps us to look back and question why we made said mistake.

Well, seeing as we are gaining the knowledge of how we are to develop our methods of learning by respecting that we make mistakes and seeing it as a benevolent aspect of education, I thought of some icing to add to the top of the cake.

It has generally always been said that the more minds that contribute to an idea, the better the idea evolves. Well, during the process of trial and error during a group discussion of an idea, the more people that are in the group, the better the chance you have of being wrong or corrected. If there are 3 people in a group, then you have a 33.34% chance of being completely right with out objection. If there are 5 people, then you have 20% chance and so on.

Therefore, when you happen to be wrong about a topic pertaining to the discussed idea in a large group, then you have a better chance to learn even more about your mistake.
